Assessment
Fusion believes that the individual progress of each student must be monitored closely and often, and goals need to be set based upon the individual history of each student. With this in mind, Fusion has developed and implemented an elaborate system of goal-setting and continual assessment called the Individual Reassessment of Commitment (IROC). IROCs act as customized educational and emotional programs, and are planned for each student individually.
Four times per year, Fusion Academy holds IROC Week. During this week, each student’s teachers will prepare a progress report while the student completes a self-evaluation. The teachers will then meet to discuss the progress of the student and assess the mastery of goals. Some students may need to continue to work toward their goals, which will then remain the same for the next quarter. Other students may have achieved mastery level and so be ready to set new goals, which will be assigned at this time. Following the IROC meetings, students meet with their Lead Teacher to hear what was discussed at the meeting and learn of their new or renewed goals.
During the time between IROCs, progress reports are completed every three weeks. This allows for continual monitoring of goals for both students and parents.
Fusion has now implemented the NWEA MAP testing - an adaptive, individualized computer-based testing system. Learn more here.

"I have been very happy with the work and progress that my two children have made at Fusion Learning Center.
They have been tutored well, and made great strides with their music. A very good experience. Look forward to a repeat next year. Thank you."
